Officially called “Guarding the new C-Class” and due to last five days, the 2014 edition of the Mercedes-Benz Road Trip has started and this time is part of the upcoming launch of the C-Class W205 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
A pack of online journalists and bloggers from around the world, which Mercedes-Benz calls “international opinion leaders”, for some reason, will be accompanying the new C-Class W205 from one of its global production locations in Tuscaloosa to the model's official launch in Detroit.
“As part of our 'Best Customer Experience' sales and marketing strategy, the growing digitalization of marketing and communication channels is playing an increasingly important role. It is therefore essential for us to maintain regular dialogue not only with customers, but also with opinion leaders in the network. The Mercedes-Benz Road Trip represents an outstanding opportunity to do this”, said Dr Jens Thiemer, Head of Marketing Communications, Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars.
