We’ve already gotten used to the kind of sad stories that bring us abandoned cars from the Middle East. That is an area of the world where vehicles seen as treasures in other parts of the globe can easily end up abandoned. The latest example of this kind comes from Saudi Arabia and it involves a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG.
This Affalterbach-massaged Gelandewagen looks abandoned, with the car being left out at the mercy of the elements after having gone through a massive fire.
The vehicle is found on Dammam, Saudi Arabia and while we don’t have any details on how the fire started, the photos below easily point to the engine compartment.
Despite showing supercar levels of hp and torque, AMGs are not your usual self-combusting vehicles, so we’re probably dealing with one of those exceptions that confirm the rule.
And if the cabin of the G63 AMG wasn’t entirely ruined by the flames, it most likely will be due to the car being left out in the open with most of its glass area missing.
Most of the abandoned supercars and exotics stories we bring you come from the United Arab Emirates, but this doesn’t make the G-Wagon one less sad.
And speaking of the UAE and Dubai in particular, it’s such a pity to see the Mercedes in such a state, especially when you think that there are so many things to do with a G63 AMG when you’re out in the desert...
