You don't have to be an automotive aficionado to notice that many, if not most Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4² owners haven't bought their cars for engaging in rugged terrain adventures.
Heck, some of these high-riding people rely on the sheer size and weight of the thing when pulling illegal parking moves. Let's take the driver of the jacked-up Gelandewagen in the video below, for instance.
As you'll be able to notice in the clip, which comes from Magazin ProDriver CZ, a crew of local enthusiasts, the owner of this Benz left his car on the first lane of a boulevard, with this taking place in the central area of Prague.
With the Czech capital city traffic being just as heavy as you'd expect and the Mercedes obviously causing problems, it didn't take long for the long (mechanized) arm of the law to show up.
However, given the G-Class aspects mentioned above, as well as the massive wheel-tire combo on this vehicle, the question in the title of this story seems legit.
Well, platform truck operators seem to get over the unusual numbers without issues. While the men taking the car away did seem to move rather slowly (anybody familiar with their moves knows how quickly they like to act, so that they avoid contact with angry owners), taking their time to ensure the Merc doesn't get damaged in the process, the extreme offroader finally lands on the back of the truck.
Even the alarm system of the Mercedes-Benz G500 4x4² gives up after a while, with the aural alerts stopping and the hazard lights being the only form of protest shown by the overpowered behemoth.
Here's to hoping this is a lesson for drivers who act like buying an exclusive vehicle also grants them the ownership rights to the tarmac underneath it.
