Mercedes-Benz G-Class MD2 Shows Bold Widebody Look

When Mercedes-Benz introduced the second generation of the iconic G-Class back in 2018, the iconic military look of the vehicle was obviously maintained. Still, the styling received all sorts of subtle tweaks to mark the arrival of the modern platform. Well, it seems that aftermarket developer Marius Designhaus has come up with a widebody kit that aims to build on both said aspects of the G Wagon's personality.

The Romanian specialist, which made its debut with a Lamborghini Urus package back in September, has taken things further for this kit, from the widebody approach to adding a set of custom wheels of its own design - the MD2 name of the new development has been chosen to suggest this succession.

The new front apron features carbon inserts for the air vents while sporting a protective element. Then we have the hood, which can be had as a standalone element or an add-on piece complementing the factory unit.

Given the meatier fenders, multiple vehicle elements have been tailored to match these, with examples including the headlight covers and the side skirt extensions, which also feature carbon inserts.

Moving over to the posterior of the Geländewagen, we find a new bumper showing a protective piece, as well as a spare wheel cover and yet another carbon insert, this time a piece that links the rear lights.

The roof hasn't been left behind, with it receiving a carbon element up front and a spoiler at the back, which uses the same material.

Dubbed FS101, the rolling hardware we have here features a multispoke setup, while the design aims to match the lines of the body kit. And these exact pieces come in 22-inch form, albeit with multiple sizes on offer.
