Mercedes-Benz G-Class Edition 35 Is a Factory-Tuned Beauty

Mercedes-Benz appears to have noticed the high amount of customization attention received by the G-Class, as their latest release for the model gives one the impression of a factory-tuned car. Dubbed G-Class Edition 35, the offroader is now upon us in a special color theme.

The vehicle is here as a nod to the unchanged body of the Gelandewagen, which has been with us for... you guessed it... 35 years. You can have the Edition 35 in two flavors, either as a G 500 or a G 350 BlueTEC diesel.

Colors, it’s all about the colors

To be more precise on the hue play, Obsidian Black was used for the front and rear aprons, exterior mirrors and roof, while the 18-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels are finished in Bright Black. The rest of the car can be had in either Designo Mystic White Bright or Palladium Silver Metallic.

While all the aforementioned themes brought a two-tone appearance to the G-Class, those who want a more subtle appearance can have the body of the vehicle covered in Obsidian Black.

The vehicle comes with the G-Class Sports package, which includes those fat AMG wheel arches, as well as a sports exhaust for the G 500. The Chrome package is also included, covering the radiator grille, as well as multiple interior accents, from the seat adjustment console to the speakers or the door sill for the boot.

Step inside

Climbing aboard the Mercedes G-Class Edition 35 can also be offered in a two-tone approach. Customers can choose between two-tone Designo Porcelain/Black or single-tone Designo Black. Red contrasting stitching and Mercedes’ high-grade leather finish come to complete the lavish approach.

Speaking of leather, the Exclusive package sees the dashboard covered in the material, while the driver and his front passenger are spoiled with adjustable multicolor seats. The list of goodies also includes an AMG performance steering wheel and Black Dinamica microfiber for the headliner.

As for the pricing, Mercedes-Benz offers the German market information. The G 350 BlueTEC is offered for EUR101,031 and the G 500 costs EUR94,800 - both prices include 19 percent VAT.

The Edition 35 may seem like a collection of colors and features, but trust us, G-Class aficionados will appreciate this.
