Remember the Mercedes-Benz two-seater rendering we showed you guys earlier? It shot up on our top five favorite three-pointed star models from the current lineup, and we think the main reason for that may be the fact that it was based on the S-Class Coupe (C217).
Now, some people took the rendering for granted, only seeing the fact that it looked like a Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe (C217) with a slightly longer hood.
Well, as the image above is accurately depicting, “automotive manipulator" Theophilus Chin did more to the original that just adjusting the length of its hood.
The rear overhang is shorter, the body height is lower and the greenhouse is much more petite, while the overall proportions are almost entirely different thanks to these subtle modifications.
To us, it looks like a slightly longer but more historically-accurate SL coupe, while that long hood most definitely deserves a V12 engine underneath. What says you?
