At least up until recent years, the 4Matic all-wheel drive versions of certain Mercedes-Benz sedans have been pretty much missing from the manufacturer's USA lineup.
Most of the MY2014 engines of the brand's US range will feature the system as an option though, and after telling you about the C350 Coupe 4Matic review yesterday it is now time to share a sneak peek review of the just-released Mercedes-Benz E250 BlueTec 4Matic, made by MotoMan TV.
While not exactly a review but more like an observation, the following video depicts the tester's single most important conclusion about the car: it sips fuel like an Englishman would drink a cup of boiling tea.
The E250 CDI features a tiny 2.1-liter twin-turbocharged four cylinder diesel engine which makes 195 hp and a massive 500 Nm (369 lb ft), enough to propel the 4Matic version of the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 8 seconds.
Even though we're talking Imperial horsepower here, it seems that the US-version of this car is slightly detuned in terms of hp from the European one. Either way, its most important feature remains the model's fuel consumption, as evidenced in the short preview video below.
