As you know, the largest coupe in the Mercedes-Benz range will receive its replacement in 2014, with the model's design and name being previewed by the Concept S-Class Coupe.
The lucky buggers from Auto Express managed to take an exclusive drive with what was arguably the best-looking concept car present at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class Coupe.

Instead of sticking a bunch of sharp needles in our “British car mags voodoo doll”, we decided to read the Brits' opinion about the sexy coupe and we're pretty glad we did.

Otherwise it would have taken a while for us to learn things like the gorgeous concept car being limited to 30 km/h (18.6 mph) and a having a limited driving time for reasons of lack of engine cooling.

It also seems that the Concept S-Class Coupe is actually based on the current CL 500 (C216) architecture, despite previewing the upcoming replacement, and it was built in the span of just about 10 months from the first sketches by an external contractor. Head over to Auto Express to read the entire review.
