If you're in the market for a Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 but want the looks of the CLA 45 AMG without the horsepower-laden drama under the bonnet, then the Sport Package Plus is the option to float your boat.
Think of it as the bonkers version of the already racy Sport Package because it comes with a handful of AMG-inspired visuals and high-performance hardware. So what do you get exactly?

Starting with the visual flair, 18-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels are on the menu, along with red accenting on the front splitter and black bucket seats with contrasting red stitching. As to go-faster gear, the pack adds a throatier exhaust, stiffer front suspension and the same cross-drilled disc brakes with red calipers from the Sport Package.

Considering that the Sport pack retails at $2,200 and Mercedes-Benz "forgot" to specify the price of the Sport Plus Package, we estimate that this option will set you back around $3,500 to $3,900 considering the extra kit offered. With pricing for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 starting at $30,825, that adds up to almost $35k if you refrain from adding 4Matic all-wheel drive and other optional bits and bobs available.

We remind you that the CLA 250 premium compact sedan is a pretty brisk car even though it's propelled by just a 2-liter turbo'd inline-four mill. Coupled to the standard seven-speed dual-clutch paddle-shift automatic transmission, the German model can hit 60 mph in under 7 seconds thanks to 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft.
