Mercedes-Benz Canada Sees You in the New GLK

When Mercedes asks you “Where do you see yourself?”, there is only one possible answer that is likely to satisfy the German luxury car maker: in a new GLK.

Although at first sight this might appear an ordinary question from a survey conducted by the German car manufacturer, this is actually the question Mercedes Canada addresses you when you enter Mercedes-Benz.ca/GLK, their recently-launched microsite to promote the new Mercedes GLK, a mid-size premium SUV.

The microsite is inspired by the design of the bold new GLK and it represents Mercedes-Benz Canada's latest online initiative to provide visitors with the vehicle information, key technical and product insights which are essential to prospective buyers. The site also contains an interactive media gallery full of  images and informational videos highlighting the all-new GLK that can be downloaded on the visitors' computers.

"A key objective of the site was to provide prospective customers with an emotional connection to the GLK, as well as to celebrate the style and uniqueness that the vehicle clearly possesses. This is one of our hippest and edgiest vehicles to date and we wanted to offer an experience that echoes the values of this demographic," says Mark Forsyth, Manager of Interactive Marketing and CRM at Mercedes-Benz Canada.

In addition, by interacting with a unique personality profiler, visitors can create a picture of their own GLK experience. This will remain as the site's backdrop as long as you stay on the web site. And if you truly like it and intend to see it everyday when you open your computer, you can download it as a desktop wallpaper.
