With cars such as the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG - and pretty much any other AMG model - there's always going to be a debate: do you leave the wonderful stock exhaust as it is, or do you install an even louder aftermarket one?
The guy in the clip below clearly opted for the second, more complicated choice, swapping the standard gas tubes of his car with a full IPE (Innotech Performance Exhaust) system. The result is pretty obvious, even though some people are still split over which sounds better.

When any number of performance cars gather on an airfield, you know what's about to happen. If there are traffic cones splattered all around, then things are even more clear: it's time for some drag racing.

The Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG has no other modifications apart from the new piping and a red wrap done by WrapXclusive, with the latter having no bearing whatsoever on the car's performance. But it does do something for the drama surrounding this AMG model that's quickly becoming the stuff of legends (especially in its Coupe form).

The drag races are a pretty messy affair, and since we don't have any sort of numbers or times, we can only judge based on pure, first-hand observations. And in spite of all that glorious noise, it doesn't seem to be doing too well. First, it comes across a Porsche Panamera Turbo S that leaves it behind, and then it faces an Audi A4 that proves to be its only real victim, apart from a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe of the same generation.

Then it comes up against four-wheel drive cars like the Audi R8 and Nissan GT-R, which accelerate a lot better off the mark.

The important thing, however, is that no matter what the red Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG was racing, it was always its exhaust tune that made it to the camera's microphone, covering any sound coming from its opponent.
