Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Models and Linkin Park Make a Good Match

For some unknown reason, the marketing people from Mercedes-Benz decided it was a good idea to use Linkin Park in one of the videos promoting their new car. Not to bash on the rock band but they haven’t been exactly popular lately. At least, not to the heights they used to be back in the day.

However, their style either fits the cars perfectly or the sound of the V8s and the editing skills of the man who put the whole thing together are out of this world. Either way, I like what I’m seeing here.

And this comes from a BMW fan, as most of you already know. Sure, on track, the less powerful yet lighter BMW M3 will turn even the AMG 63 S model into an easy pray but when it comes to luxury, the Bavarian still has a thing or two to learn.

The Mercedes is also the most powerful beast in the segment at the moment, admittedly lacking a proper rival from Audi in the shape of a new RS5. The one we have right now is pretty old to begin with.

Under the bonnet of the C63 AMG we have today lies a new 4-liter twin-turbo V8 that makes some serious power, even compared to the 6.2-liter V8 of its predecessor. In stock guise, the Merc has 467 HP to rely on along with 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. The S model takes things even further, with 510 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. Yes, things are getting out of hand even in this niche. The horsepower war is still alive and kicking!
