The upcoming AMG sports car, codenamed C190, is still having various pre-production prototypes gunning it on the old Nurburgring circuit, the latest one being caught by our spy photographers just yesterday.
We know this is a different prototype than the others that have been caught out in the open so far because the camouflage on the body is a bit different and the car depicted in these latest images has a different license plate.
As we reported before, the baby-SLS will feature a 4-liter twin-turbocharged V8, with around 480 hp in its basic version, with a more powerful 500+ hp Black Series version to be launched later on.
Some rumors say that the entirely new engine will be made essentially fusing two M133 four cylinders from the A 45 AMG together, giving the V8 a theoretically achievable and safe power of 700+ hp while keeping most of the internals untouched.
Whether or not that proves to be true, we do know that a version of the new 4-liter will also power the AMG version of the upcoming W205 C-Class and all its future body variants. In the long run, different versions of the engine will also be used on most of the AMG range of higher-end models.
The most unexpected information about the upcoming long hooded AMG sports car is our take on the platform it will use, which it might share with the entire future Aston Martin lineup instead of the current VH. Stay tuned for more info in the upcoming months, but meanwhile you can check the latest spy shots of the car in the gallery bellow.
