The very first all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 has just rolled off the production line at the three-pointed star plant in Bremen, Germany, marking the beginning of the next chapter in the best-selling story of the most successful Mercedes-Benz model in history.
The fourth generation of the C-Class will be manufactured for the first time by four plant on four different continents, with all sites to already begin production in less than six months from now.
“The new C-Class is setting new standards in the premium mid-range segment in a number of aspects – from design and perceived quality, driver assistance systems to lightweight construction. Just as important: We are also raising the bar in terms of production. Within just six months we will have ramped up production in four C-Class plants on four continents. In the next few months, the C-Class will also roll off the production line in East London (South Africa), Beijing (China) and Tuscaloosa (USA), with Mercedes-Benz investing no less than two billion Euros in all the production facilities for the model.
