With the all-new fourth generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class already unveiled in all its glory at the North American International Auto Show last month, the current model is preparing to end its career as subtle and as dignifying as it can.
In the UK, for example, Mercedes-Benz recently launched the AMG Sport Edition of the model, and in many way this version is like the swan song of the current C-Class.
Replacing the AMG Sport and the AMG Sport Plus, the package includes the AMG styling option, with sports steering wheel, light-alloy wheels, lowered sports suspension, on of which it also ads an AMG spoiler lip for the luggage compartment, dark-tinted headlamps and a high-gloss black engine grille.
Its interior comes in standard with the AMG Sport Plus seats, engulfed in black Artico and Dinamica with blue and grey contrast stitching and dark brushed aluminium trim.
The Brits from Auto Express weren't too impressed with a C 220 CDI fitted with the above package though, but you will have to read their review to understand exactly why.
