The report's assessments were compiled from the main inspections undertaken by DEKRA's test centers all over Germany.

The three Mercedes-Benz cars with the lowest number of defects in their respective segments are the B-Class W246, the E-Class W212 and the GLK X204 crossover/SUV.

On top of that, according to the DEKRA reports, the E-Class was even voted the “Best of all Classes,” while the B-Class MPV won the “Vehicle of the Year” accolade.

As if all that wasn't enough, Mercedes-Benz also won five out of the eleven top places, which is more than both Audi and BMW.

Considering that the three-pointed star is also rising in sales way faster than its two arch enemies lately, these reliability awards can do nothing but squeeze even more trust from prospective buyers, and if all goes well in the following years it may very well take back its luxury car sales crown before 2020.
