Mercedes-Benz and Elle Invited Paper London to Present their New Fashion Collection

As one of the auto manufacturers quite seriously involved in the fashion world, Mercedes-Benz is getting ready for the next cat walk session, due to take place in Berlin, this January. As their main partner for the event, Elle magazine and Mercedes have decided that Paper London will be this year’s Autumn/Winter 2015 collection host.

Fashion makes the world go round... And this is not a spelling mistake, but the real deal since we’re writing about giant car makers involved in all sorts of beauty-ventures. And Mercedes-Benz has been making a mark on the world’s most important fashion platforms for 18 years. They claim they’re currently taking part in over 50 fashion events in more than 30 countries. That’s pretty big for a company that is supposed to create... well, cars.

Anyhow. The Autumn/Winter 2015 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will be taking place from January 19 to 22, in Berlin, which means the Germans are already preparing things for the next year. Well, it’s quite natural since they’re about 12 days left out of 2014. The decision to pick Paper London for the coming season is part of Mercedes and Elle “continuous campaign to promote and nurture up and comping design talents”.

To be presented on January 21, in the event marquee on Strasse des 17. Juni, the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection was inspired by mid-20th century architecture and the postmodern interior design of Charles Eames and his contemporaries. According to Mercedes, this is the eight time that the two brands have issued joint invitation to a promising label to attend the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin.

What we’re rather curious to find out, is what cars we’re about to see at the event, but there is still no call on that.
