The upcoming Mercedes-Benz AMG GT (C190) is shaping up to be quite an interesting SLS AMG replacement, since it will actually have an engine lineup, as opposed to its current predecessor which only had the M159 6.2-liter V8 in different states of tune.
The latest reports about the AMG GT are saying that the model will not only sport the entirely new M177/M178 V8 engine but also the twin-turbocharged V6, internally codenamed M276 DELA 30, from the Mercedes-Benz E 400.

If the V6 base model will feature a modified version of the aforementioned M276 is yet to be revealed, but we suspect that it will offer a little more power than the 333 hp it does in the E 400.

The following spy photos are most likely depicting the base version of the upcoming AMG GT, since it's sporting only a twin-exhaust instead of the quad exhaust seen in other images.

The odd part is that it also seems to feature the AMG carbon-ceramic brakes, easily distinguishable by the gold-painted brake calipers. Why a base version of the car would feature the supersport braking system is beyond us, but we'll find out more about it in the upcoming months.
