Another day, another A45 AMG review from Australia, since the smallest AMG model seems to have been tested at about the same time by all major auto publications from the land down under.
This time is Carsguide.com.au's turn, who managed to drive on a racing circuit the car that can be currently called the hottest hatch on the planet, the Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG.
Although they probably spent most of their time hooning it around the track than actually preparing a detailed review, the edited footage is still pretty fun to watch, especially considering what it depicts.
Bearer of the most powerful mass-produced four-cylinder in the world, the A 45 AMG may be small but it is a bit more than furious.
Helped by the AMG-tuned 4-Matic all-wheel drive system, the 360 horsepower two-liter four cylinder under the hood can help it reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standing start in just 4.6 seconds. Its standard top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), but there is an optional AMG package that can raise it to 270 km/h (168 mph).
