Mercedes-Benz 90E Crossover: a New Definition for Grotesque

Some people just don’t understand the meaning of the word “tuning”. We can find examples that demonstrate this everyday, all we need to do is take a traffic “bath”. You know how it happens: you get in your car/ on your bike, start cruising through the city and, sooner or later, you come across a vehicle that was butchered by its owner.

And is if this wasn’t enough, the guy behind the wheel drives with a big smile on his face, as he is convinced that people are staring at his creation because it is stunning.

Today, we are here to show you one of this vehicles - don’t worry, the owner doesn’t appear in the images. A poor Mercedes-Benz 190E, a vehicle that could be an excellent base for a tuning project, was used as a starting point for creating the monstrosity that you can see in the adjacent pictures.

The vehicle lost its rear end, becoming a hatchback. Next, the car’s ride height was increased (we can only imagine how the vehicle handles now) and fitted with generously-sized alloy rims these look like they come from a W124 E-Klasse), as the owner, who comes from Russia, actually wanted a crossover image.

Other torture devices for the car include borrowed taillights (probably from a W140 S-Klasse), a set of bullabars that come in an extra-thich size and are finished in white, a rugged off-road-style spare wheel mount at the rear and a roof spoiler.

The icing on the cake is a strange matte black paintjob and a “90E” badge.
