The Colorado Grand is an annual charity rally for 1960's and earlier sports and race cars that have a certain distinction, and this year it celebrated its 25th edition.
With Mercedes-Benz as one of the major sponsors for the event, it's only natural that some of the participants brought a herd of three-pointed star vehicles to this year's edition, with the iconic 300 SL taking the top spot.

As you can see in the adjacent gallery, the original Flügeltürer (“Gullwing” in German), in both coupe and roadster form, was one of the most eye-candy vehicles in this edition of the Colorado Grand.

Considering it's seen by many as the original supercar, it's no surprise that whenever and wherever a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL makes an appearance, all eyes will be on it, no matter how rare, beautiful or exclusive its rallying partners are.

This year, approximately 85 classic sports or race cars were driven in this non-competitive event, covering about 1,000 miles (620 km) through the Rocky Mountains.
