Mercedes-AMG GT S with Performance Exhaust Sounds Wicked in the Purest Sense

Whenever a Mercedes-AMG GT S shows itself, you know there’s going to be drama. And it’s not just visual drama, but also plenty of acoustic reasons to turn your head for a better view/listen.

The fact that it’s a pretty rare sight only helps its case in making people take out their phones and prepare their ears for some cracks and pops like no others. AMG cars are notorious for being as loud as a bunch of British hooligans coming home from the bar after their team had won. Or lost, it doesn’t really make any kind of difference.

The top of the line GT couldn’t have been any different, so its exhaust is just as willing to let gases out with a bang as you’d expect. Even more so when the car is equipped with the Performance Exhaust system, like this fine, yellow example we have here.

You can feel you’re in the presence of something great even from the second the engine is first fired up. Revving the car in a parking lot full of Porsches (well, there are at least two of them) must have been very rewarding for the owner, as the 911’s boxer could never produce the same tune as a V8 engine. Especially given the latest development.

In fact, there aren’t that many V8 engines out there that can match the new AMG unit in terms of pure violence when combined with that special exhaust. The growling that comes out of those pipes would send a T-Rex running for its mommy, it would make a muscle car’s muscles instantly deflate, and it would give the chills (of the right kind) even to the most ardent EV supporter.

It’s just fabulous, and we’ll never get tired of hearing it. And make sure you hang on until the end, there’s a special treat for you there.
