Meet the Inferno version of the GLC 63 Coupe, a creation of Russian body kit specialists TopCar. It makes all their Porsche-based models look tame, and frankly, we don't even care if it has an alligator skin interior anymore.
Back in Spring, TopCar previewed this body kit with a sketch. It was good, but there's nothing like exposed carbon fiber to take a project to the next level. Up until a few years ago, you would only see stuff like this from hypercar makers but now... your family car can be fully decked out.
Even though the GLC 63 Coupe is not what you'd call restrained, we love the combination and think it's borderline good taste. People will think you are a prick for showing off your wealth, but that's just part of life.
TopCar does the best carbon kits right now. While other companies might give you a spoiler or a diffuser, they change whole body panels.
The most in-your-face is the hood, a gigantic surface of woven materials trapped in juicy resin. But the grille with that shark logo isn't too shabby either. Folks who don't know about cars might even as "what's that?"
The party continues below that with a full bumper makeover that integrates butch elements ready to plow into unsuspecting pedestrians. We're kidding, but they do look like something from a zombie survival movie.
The back end received a similar treatment, with most of the bumper now being made of carbon, along with the trunk spoiler and fender flares. Because that's where you want to put an exotic material: where stones usually hit.
There's no word on power, but the standard GLC 63 S setup is more than enough, delivering 510 HP from the only twin-turbo V8 in this segment. It sounds good and gets you to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. What more could you want from a Sports Activity Coupe?
