The three-pointed star designed the Mercedes-AMG C63 AMG for a single purpose: to battle and win against their Bavarian rivals' BMW M3 performance sedan. But first, they must face each other in the battle of the price tags.
The BMW M3 starts at $62,000 in the United States, but we're here to talk about his counterpart's pricing. So, there you have it: the Mercedes-AMG C63 is available in America from $63,900, plus the $925 destination/delivery charge.
In case you're aiming higher than that and you bank account is fat enough to support such ambitions, Mercedes is also offering the C63 AMG S version. However, owning this slightly beefed-up version will leave you less rich by $71,900 plus the additional fee mentioned above.
Both the standard AMG C63 AMG and the AMG C63 S versions make use of the same hand-built AMG bi-turbo V8. For the C63, the engine delivers 469 HP (475 PS) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) while the S version is putting down 503 HP (510 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm).
Standard equipment includes a Burmester Surround Sound system, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed transmission, a rear limited-slip differential (mechanic for the C63, electronic for the C63 S) and AMG adaptive suspension, among other goodies.
In the optional equipment department, clients can have their way with a panorama sunroof, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and seat belts in red or silver. For more hardcore owners, the German brand is also offering AMG Performance seats, a carbon ceramic braking system as well as a carbon fiber decklid spoiler and mirror covers.
