In a move to appeal to the more aesthetic side of the companies activating in the trucking business, German manufacturer Mercedes Benz announced today the launch of the special edition versions of the Actros, dubbed Black Liner and White Liner.
The two models feature almost no technical enhancement. What set them apart from their regular series production cousins are the colors and a few more comfort and design tweaks here and there. The trucks are being offered, as their names say, in two colors, diamond white or obsidian black.
The Black Liner comes with exterior mirror trim with chrome details, stainless steel steps, headlamp trim in black and, just like the White version, LED daytime driving lights and LED position lights. The White Liner is differentiated by the white exterior mirror trim, black paint finish steps and chrome headlamp trim.
On the interior, the two special edition models bring a touch of uniqueness as well. Both versions are equipped pretty much in the same way, with climate-controlled leather seats and leather door panels, leather steering wheel and leather armrests and brown velour floor mats.
The cabins are equipped with air horns, illuminated star logo, sun visor, electric tilting/sliding sunroof, electrically operated sunblinds for the windscreen, automatic climate control, ambient lighting and coolbox.
Both models will be presented to the public at the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hannover at the end of September. Only 500 units of the special edition will be manufactured, regardless of the variant. Prices for the special edition trucks have not yet been announced.
