A bit earlier, Mercedes-Benz announced that the new generation of the A-Class entered production and added that it will also build a crossover version of the car. Now we’re back on the A-Class variation topic and we want to show you how the rumored convertible model could look like.
Since it is based on the new A-Class, this will share its engine range and as far as the gearbox department is concerned, Mercedes will offer a seven-speed dual clutch, as well as a six-speed manual, which will only arrive as an option on certain markets.
The vehicle would compete against BMW’s future 2-Series Cabrio and Audi's upcoming A3 Cabrio, which we showed you earlier in a rendering and would allow Mercedes to turn the A-Class into a more popular model.
However, the automotive producer hasn’t confirmed the model yet, so this might just remain pure speculation.
