Megane Monaco GP Priced from EUR27,650

The special and limited edition frenzy, which seems to have engulfed French manufacturer Renault, continues in this second month of the year with the release of the pricing information for the Megane Monaco GP. As most of you will notice, the price tags show how much Renault evolved over the years, on the one hand, and how much confidence it has that its customers are willing to pay the for the models.

In France, the Monaco GP edition of the Megane coupe equipped with the dCi 110 engine will be priced from EUR27,650, but that's only the beginning of a very long and at times over expensive price list. The top of the range 2.0 16V Turbo version will cost, for instance, no less than EUR32,950. And that's without some very interesting options, which could add a little over EUR3,000 to that price tag. So, how many of you are into an over EUR35,000 Renault Megane? Be it Monaco GP...

Renault is hoping that the range of features, which it chose for the special edition, will be enough to entice the wannabe owners. The models come more with styling, comfort and design enhancements rather than performance ones (only some minor power increases prepared for the engines in the lineup). The visual enhancements will be shown at the Geneva Auto Show next month.

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
