Volkswagen's electrically powered "van of the future", the e-Co-Motion Concept, has been officially unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
Last time we wrote about the e-Co-Motion we weren't sure if the zero-emissions delivery van would be 100 percent electric or a hybrid vehicle, but Volkswagen set everything straight today.
Thanks to a great bunch of information revealed by the German company, we can now tell you that what you're seeing is 115 HP EV using a rear-mounted electric motor that car help the van reach a top speed of 74 mph (120 km/h).
The e-Co-Motion also features an energy saving mode which limits the output to 68 HP, while the 20 kWh, 30 kWh and 40 kWh battery packs can provide a driving range of 62, 93 and 124 miles respectively.
Volkswagen claims the e-Co-Motion could be "the ideal zero-emission city delivery van of the future" and, while we can't disagree, we would really like to see it on an assembly line. The sooner the better!
