Meet Toyota’s Smart Mobility Society

Toyota is continuing its researches outside the auto industry in order to create possibilities for people to live in a greener, safer world. Its ideas are materializing through the Smart Mobility Society.

The Japanese automaker’s vision is to link people, cars and communities through technology so everyone can feel safe, secure and happy as they move through their life.

In Toyota Land, everything will work in perfect harmony - cars will be more connected to people and they will also communicate with each other to improve traffic and safety. Based on the data collected, you will know with a press of a button whether to use your car or public transport, see possible routes or reserve a sharing EV. Then, you will be able to connect your hybrid vehicle to your house and tell it what to do - charge from the house’s electric system or provide it with auxiliary power.

Seems a nice idea (or not if you find some conspiracy theory here) and maybe Toyota will soon build entire interconnected high-tech towns instead of just offering people green transportation.
