In case you thought auto builders only make cars, then think again. After having Honda launching their fastest and most expensive vehicle ever, we now find Piaggio Aviation preparing the world’s fastest civil turboprop, the Avanti Evo. Its creators claim it’s an aircraft with increased efficiency, reduced fuel burn, greater range and faster climb.
As an upgraded version of the company’s Avanti II, the third generation EVO is allegedly the world’s fastest, most efficient and probably most beautiful twin-turbo prop aircraft. Designed with great Italian style and ground-breaking craftsmanship, the new private jet has a maximum speed of 402 knots (462 mph / 743km/h) and the range extends up to 1720 nm (1979 miles/3185 km) which is enough to allow transcontinental and US coast-to-coast flights with just a singe stop.

Priced at $7,395,000 (EUR 5,682,735) the Avanti EVO features several advanced aerodynamic concepts and manufacturing techniques, such as elegant winglets, which aid efficiency and enhance ramp appeal, new scimitar propellers, which cut noise, and new systems upgrades that raise safety even higher. At the center of its efficiencies and innovations is the historic “3LS” - Three Lifting Surface design - which aids safety, reduces drag and significantly aids efficiencies.

As to the cabin, it’s all about great taste and fine luxury. The chairs move laterally and longitudinally, also swivelling 180 degrees. Cabin options include an inflight entertainment system, upgraded carpeting, premium leathers and foam padding, AirCell Axxess air-to-ground data link, Iridium Satcom phone and several other features.

And if you’re planning to get one for yourself, you’ll want to know first delivery is scheduled for October. So start saving money and visit their website.

P.S. Just so you know, Piaggio Aero Industries is not the same thing with Piaggio & C. SpA. It's a multinational aerospace manufacturing company headquartered in Genoa, Italy. Its origins date back to the former Rinaldo Piaggio S.p.A. company, making it one of the world's oldest airplane manufacturers. Piaggio Aero Industries was established in its current form in November 1998, when a group of shareholders headed by Piero Ferrari and Josè Di Mase acquired the assets of Rinaldo Piaggio.
