Just a quick question: what's the 1,000 HP limit nowadays? Well, that's something everybody is crossing or at least claim they did. In fact, today's supercar, or hypercar, is not cool enough unless its engine can squeeze power beyond this point.

We saw the Indians having a go at a supercar with the M-Zero but now the challenge has shifted to the UK. Here, Ultima Sports has been working on the Evolution Coupé and Convertible. That's right, one supercar, two flavors. The cars drew inspiration from Le Mans Group C racers in terms of body shape and will replace the Ultima GTR and Can-Am models.

So, without further ado, let's show you some numbers. The coupé was developed in top-shelf specs and was gifted with 1,033 HP coming from an insanely tuned Chevrolet LS 6.8-liter V8. However, the company is offering 15 tuning stages between that value and 355 HP, so every burning desire should be well covered.

Torque was pumped to 920 lb-ft (1,246 Nm), so the Ultima Evolution can blast from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.3 seconds. The 0 to 100 mph (161 km/h) interval is checked in 4.9 seconds while 0 to 150 mph (241 km/h) lasts 8.9 seconds.

But don't think the engine is solely responsible for these out-of-this-world figures. No sir, because the Ultima Evolution Coupé only weighs 950 kg (2,094 lbs), a feature that has a lot to say about those blistering runs from a standstill. There's no word on pricing yet but expect a serious number.
