When talking about a velocity-addicted machine such as the upcoming McLaren Sabre, it's nice to see the pieces of the puzzle coming together. Two leaked photos of the hypercar, which surfaced online just hours ago, come to confirm the aero-dictated styling we've seen in the spyshots and patent drawings that showed up earlier this month (you'll find those in the second part of the image gallery).
What is this thing, you ask? Well, we're dealing with an Ultimate Series hypercar, so you can expect big numbers in all areas but the scale footprint.

The Sabre's styling mixes elements from the streamlined top speed special that is the McLaren Speedtail with super-sized downforce hardware that reminds us of the Senna track-savvy offering and even the Ultimate Vision GT concept the company released for the Gran Turismo Sport game. We need to thank Instagram labels ye110w_ and cochespias for the pair of leaked images above.

While the British sport car maker's carbon fiber tub is the backbone of the vehicle, McLaren's hybridization plans mean we could be dealing with a gas-electric powertrain. Nevertheless, the output is likely to sit in the four-digit range.

Codenamed BC-03, where the pair of letter stands for "bespoke commission", we can expect this to be a one-off created by McLaren Special Operations.

As for a potential connection between this machine and the racing world, all we have for now are hopes and dreams. We'd all love to see McLaren competing in the future LMH class (Le Mans Hypercar), which is set to replace the current LMP1 top-tier endurance segment.

That's because the top class' rules theoretically state that participating carmakers need to release road-going versions of the motorsport machines. Of course, Peugeot seems to be willing to bypass that requirement and skip the road car, but this is another story for another time.

However, the Brits have expressed interest in the future LMDh (Le Mans Daytona Hybrid) tier, a replacement for the LMP2 class, which doesn't require homologation specials for the street.

Regardless, a seven-figure price tag for the Sabre seems, well, natural. Rumor has it this Woking machine will be offered for $3 million.
