The guys from McLaren seem to have something to brag about as it is rumored that their P1 supercar can complete the Nordschleife circuit faster than Porches’ 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid supercar, which did it in 6 minutes and 57 seconds Nurburgring.
This intriguing rumor actually came from the guys over at UK-based AutoCar. It appears that they spoke to someone on the inside and the said person told them the supercar can finish the 'Ring' faster than the 918 Spyder, meaning in 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Their exact words were “a fair bit quicker than that.” So, this means that until Ferrari debuts its LaFerrari at the Green Hell, the P1 remains the king of the ‘Ring'.
Unfortunately, there hasn’t been anything official released, the guys from McLaren keeping quite on the matter. Whether it is true or not, we have to admit that we are already hooked and we’re definitely going to keep our eyes on McLaren’s P1.
