We are here to put you in the driver’s seat of nothing less than the McLaren P1. Despite our best efforts, we didn’t manage to find any British hypercar around, so you’ll have to settle for the POV drive provided by the video below.
The clip allows us to see just how ferocious the P1 is, with the bewildering acceleration scenes being accompanied by a proper soundtrack. The P1 even slides a bit at times and seeing the slight countersteering action comes as a bonus. This is one hypercar owner who treats his ride like he should.
By the looks of it, both the handling and the powertrain modes have been left in “Sport”. Well, despite not using the “Track” modes, the experience seems brutal enough. For instance, the drive includes some 175 mph (280 km/h) moments.
The action takes place on the Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome in the UK, where a supercar meet was held on March 30. The P1 was accompanied by many other hyperpowered machines, but it obviously turned heads.
