The UK based automaker McLaren is working on a car bellow the 12C to expand it’s model range. The car will be known as the P13.
According to Motor Trend, the P13 will be a more practical two-seater, made so by having a boot for example. Styling will be influenced by the recently introduced P1, so we can expect a lot of curves, thin strips of LED and active aero elements. McLaren hasn’t said anything about the engine that it will be fitted to the car, but an untuned version of the 12C’s twin-turbo V8 can easily fill the gap.

The price is expected to be just below $200,000 so that it won’t affect the MP4-12C’s market place which is priced at $250,000.

Judging that McLaren is said to make a new model every year, and with the P1 launched this year, the P13 is likely to go on sale sometime in 2014.
