The custom car culture has reached a point where no machine is left outside the tuner circle (it's just a matter of time, really). And icons such as the McLaren F1 are no exception. Now, if a real-world F1 Shooting Brake might not show up all that soon, the virtual tuning realm delivers just that.
Now, if you happen to be a purist, there's no reason to fret over this pixel play - I promise, no actual Maccas were harmed in the making of this visual tale (keep in mind that McLaren only brought 106 examples of the F1 to the world).
The McLaren F1 S/B was put together by Yasid Oozeaar, a digital artist who gets his kicks from playing with toys of the kind.
Of course, giving the McLaren F1 the "wagon" treatment doesn't make all that much sense. After all, the mid-engined layout of the hypercar means adding some space at the back wouldn't exactly serve a purpose.
In fact, the said artist was asked about this in the comments section of the Instagram post showcasing the contraption. And his answer was just as playful as the rendering, talking about the F1 needing a roomier engine compartment for a larger mill...
Come to think of it, any modification fitted to the F1 would have to at least leave the legendary 240.1 mph (386.4 km/h) maximum velocity of the beast untouched.
Ohm and you might just experience deja vu after checking out this four-wheeled creature. That's because the pixel master seems to have a thing for McLaren F1 Shooting Brakes, with this being his third take on the matter (here are the first two, for those of you who want to dwelve on this sort of automotive dreams).
