McLaren Automotive Making Charity Efforts

McLaren Automotive is one of the most active companies today, as the carmaker is pushing the development pedal to the metal in order to become (or, should we say “regain its status as”?) an important name is the supercar world.

Besides working on new cars, establishing a dealer network and showing the MP4-12C to the world, this also means that the company is involved in various marketing events, with the “Driving Dreams” being the first to come. McLaren Automotive Design Director Frank Stephenson will be the headline speaker at the event, which is scheduled to be held by the charity Mercy Crops on Monday, November 22 in London.

Stephenson will cover his passion for car design and give an insight in to the application of his design philosophy at McLaren Automotive, where he leads a team responsible for a groundbreaking future range of high performance sports cars,” stated the press release.

Driving Dreams will take place at the Commonwealth Club, 25 Northumberland Avenue from 19.00 to 21.00. The tickets for the event are priced at GBP20 each.

All proceeds raised will be used to support Mercy Corps’ “Project Trishna” (this can be translated into “to quench one’s thirst") in the tea garden communities of Marybong and Gairee Gaon in Darjeeling, India. The funding will allow the provision of drinking water to 85 households and a population of 450.

The speakers will be introduced by Mervyn Lee, Executive Director of Mercy Corps. McLaren Automotive has donated signed Formula 1 memorabilia for an auction that will be held during the event.
