The McLaren 720S has earned itself the reputation of the supercar that hasn't lost a drag race. The brilliant power-to-weight ratio of the Woking animal has brought it tons and tons of victories, as well as multiple adversaries that want to take a stab at it.
And a recent drag racing event that took place in Germany saw plenty of machines duking it out with the Macca.

The fiercest adversary of the British toy was a 991.1-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S. The Zuffenhausen coupe had been taken down the aftermarket route, with the twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six of the Porsha has jumped from its factory output of 560 hp to a meaty 740 ponies.

Nevertheless, we'll remind you that the McLaren remains the more powerful car. If we take a look at the official specs of the supercar, we'll notice that its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 packs 720 horses. Nevertheless, as independent dyno runs have shown, the motor actually produces north of 750 hp.

Both speed devils packs seven-speed dual-clutch trannies, but while the 720S comes in rear-wheel-drive form, the Porsche features all-paw hardware.

Nevertheless, this didn't make a different in the drag race we have here, since the two used a rolling start, kicking things off at around 50 km/h.

As we mentioned above, the McLaren 720S battled multiple machines. And there were two competitors that stood out, with these packing intense aftermarket treatments. The first is another Porsche 911 - this time around, we're talking about a 911 Turbo S Cabriolet belonging to the 997 generation, with the Porscha having received a 9ff treatment. Interestingly, the thing also packed 740 hp. As for the second, this involves a McLaren 570, the GT sort, with the owner of the Macca having pushed things all the way to 700 hp.

So, did the status of the British land-to-land missile get ruined? Head over to the "play" button below to find out.
