McLaren 720S Drag Races McLaren 675LT, Dominance Established

Well, the sprinting fight we have here sees the 720S going up against a 675 Longtail Spider. This friendly fire stunt comes from the Brits at Carwow, while the 675 featured in the adventure belongs to YouTuber Shmee150, who got behind the wheel for the race.

Fortunately, this is more than just the usual dig drag race, as the speeding comparison between the two Maccas also involves a rolling start, as well as a braking test.

Each of the drag races features a special aspect and we'll kick things off with the standing start one. You see, Shmee warmed up the tires on the 675LT Spider, doing a small burnout, but Matt Watson, the editor behind the 720S wheel, decided to remain calm.

As you can imagine, tire temperature has quite an impact in this kind of fights. For insta,ce, we'll remind you of the time when a factory stock 720S used tire warmenrs before a 1/4-mile run, delivering a 9.7s run, which allowed it to one-up the mighty P1. And while the conditions used for the run we have here weren't ideal, we have to keep in mind that both cars used the same environment.

As for the rolling start battle, it's wort mentioning that both supercars were in their softest driving modes, with the drivers kicking the throttle as they would in a casual highway encounter. As if a 720S meeting a 675LT on the motorway would ever be a casual happening...
