The McLaren 720S has swept us off our feet with its straight-line sprinting abilities, with this currently being the quickest member of the supercar breed and even punching into hypercar territory. However, there are a few owners out there who want to stay ahead of the pack and take their Woking animals down the aftermarket path.
And we've brought along just such an example, with this 720S having been gifted with a Kooks-supplied catless downpipe setup and an ECU remap supplied by DME.

The British-built, American-tuned missile recently drag raced a BMW S1000RR, with the superbike having also received an aftermarket touch, in the form of a custom exhaust.

Rolling starts were used for the battles (there were multiple races), with the hostilities kicking off at about 50 mph.

Now, in case you're wondering how the S1000RR (with a custom exhaust) stacks up against a factory stock McLaren 720S, the piece of footage below will also answer this question, using footage from an older race.

As you've probably figured out by now, we constantly keep an eye out for McLaren 720S drag races and the results are nothing short of spectacular.

And while the battle we have here shows the Macca duking it out with totally different kinds of machines, we recently showed you the British machine fighting another supercar, namely the 2018 Ford GT. The said fight involved both standing and rolling starts, so you can get a complete take on the comparison.

P.S.: If you happen to be in a hurry, you can find the car vs. bike battle at the 6:30 point of the video below. However, once this is over, you'll also get to see the mid-engined machine batting two tuner cars, with the drag races being the amusing type. You should also pay attention to the action at the 11:02 point, which showcases the S1000RR drag racing a stock 720S.
