Those who keep an eye on the adventures supercars deliver in the real world are well aware of the fact that the McLaren 720S, with its hypercar levels of acceleration, is a brilliant tool for drag racing.
In fact, the Macca has proven mighty enough to defeat GT-Rs with four-digit outputs, with its reputation being carbon-fiber-solid. However, there are certain owners who don't want to take chances, with these aficionados taking their supercars down the aftermarket route.

And we've brought along an example of such a 720S. The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 of the Brit packs a custom intake and exhaust and with independent dyno runs showing that the motor already delivers north of 750 hp in stock trim, the one we have here should deliver around 800 ponies.

This McLaren 720S recently engaged in a wild night of racing, getting together with a few other machines with monstrous power levels.

The velocity animals hit the road at night, ignoring the safety and the prepped surface assets of the drag strip. And, as part of the hostilities, the McLaren ended up battling a C6-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1.

The supercharged V8 of the Chevy has been given the heads-plus-cam treatment, with the thing delivering around 850 ponies. The supercars battled on more than one occasion and you can check out the result in the piece of footage below.

Note that the clip also showcases other drag races, with all of these involving the kind of machines that can make one dizzy through the screen. We normaly point out the part of the clip that showcases the adventure we discussed, but since all the action seen here is worthy of attention, we'll skip the labeling this time.

Oh, and please remember to stay off the streets - it's best to head for the track when the urges kick in.
