We're here to show you a family brawl involving a McLaren 675LT and a 650S Spider. However, unlike other such adventures, the Woking flavor of this battle means we need to talk about the context before moving on to the actual racing.
When it comes to McLaren's constant range updates, supercar aficionados are split into two camps. The first praises Woking's efforts to pay attention to customer feedback, which sits at the base of the British automaker's ever-improving model range.

As for the second camp, this is comprised of car nuts who feel that McLaren coming up with a new model so often makes existing customers feel left behind (MP4-12C thoughts, anybody?).

Of course, most people mean that in a figurative sense, but we want to show you what happens when McLaren drivers take such things literally.

The 675 Longtail, which was the next Super Series model to be released after the 650S, can be seen here drag racing the Spider incarnation of the latter. And while it would've been even more relevant to see the same type of roof being used on both cars, you should know that McLaren's carbon fiber tub means the performance difference between a Spider and a Coupe is kept to a minimal.

For instance, if we are to look at the best quarter-mile times recorded by, say, the 650S Coupe, the 650S Spider and the 675 Longtail Coupe, we'll notice a sweet progression: 10.4 vs 10.3 vs 10.2 seconds, respectively.

You shouldn't be worried bout the 1,320 feet numbers ruining the fun of the video and that's because the clip at the bottom of the page shows us the pair of Macs engaging in two rolling drag races.

The runs kicked off at 35 mph, while the British ground-to-ground missiles climbing past150 mph before the drivers were forced to step on the brakes.
