It’s not a brand new car as much as a MP4-12C that’s been re-engineered. Power is bumped up from 625 hp to 650 hp (yep, that’s why it’s called the 650S), with torque rising from the 12C's 600 to 657 Nm. There’s an air of the Aston Martin DBS about this car, in that everything has been slightly improved: sticky Pirelli Pzero Corsa tires, better steering, better braking response and a carbon fiber body kit added for bragging right and performance in equal measures. Considering the improvements, we can only presume the super-12C is a car capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds or less.
Some might say that the front bumper blades are similar to the Acura NSX Concept. We’re not going to join that bandwagon, but even though this looks 100% British, it’s not 100% new. The 650S will likely forever be known as the lovechild of the 12C and a P1.
The same forum also includes a couple of alleged price sheets (they look like the real deal), indicating a gap of about €25,000 compared to a 12C coupe. The top number on the papers is €232,000 including VAT, which is equivalent to $318,000 at today’s exchange rate.
Enjoy the leaks. This supercar isn’t going official until Wednesday, so more high-res images are inbound.
