The ultimate version of Ford's F-150 just got a little bit more pumped up thanks to German tuner Mcchip-DKR. As the name suggests, the customization program's highlight is a chip tuning that lifts power up by 22 horsepower.
Therefore, the SVT Raptor's big-bore 6.2-liter V8 engine will go up from 411 to 433 horsepower. Unfortunately, there's no word on the torque figures yet, although we expect a modest increase in this department as well. The other upgrade included in the kit is the total removal of the V-Max top speed limiter. Pricing information for the aforementioned modifications isn't available at this moment. The boys from Mcchip-DKR say on their official Facebook page that the entire operation needs three to four hours max, including optimization.
In stock SVT form, the Blue Oval's pickup truck is one of the most impressive bits of machinery for hooning around. If you delve a bit under the skin of this big boy, you'll find why: the sturdy and potent drivetrain is complemented perfectly by the suspension system. Chief among the updates that turn the mild-mannered F-150 into a fire-breathing desert runner are the lower control arms made of cast aluminum and the special inverted Fox Racing Shocks with remote reservoirs.
