Mcchip-DKR Can Take Your M4 Up to 535 HP

It seems like the new BMW M3 and M4 are now at the center of every tuner’s attention, everyone wanting to release the most potent engine upgrade for the M cars. The guys from Mcchip-DKR are the latest that came up with a tune for the S55 engine and it’s impressive.

The stock S55 3-liter twin-turbo is already impressive, being tuned to make 431 HP and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque by the brilliant engineers from the Motorsport division. However, if you can get even more out of it, why not take it to the max?

Somehow, the guys from Mcchip-DKR, a German tuner, managed to take things over the 500 HP threshold and are now presenting their new kits for the M3 and M4. At Stage 1, the 3-liter engine is taken up to 510 HP and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque, plenty even for an older-generation M5, let alone for the new M models.

However, things didn’t stop there. The guys are also offering a Stage 2 upgrade that gives the car over 100 HP more than the stock configuration. The power output is raised to 535 HP and 685 Nm (505 lb-ft) of torque. Keep in mind that this is all coming from a 3-liter plant.

Of course, it all sounds pretty good but it also comes with a price. The stage 1 upgrade will cost you €1,299 and takes around 3 to 4 hours to install. The same amount of time is required for the Stage 2 upgrade but in this case you’d have to pay €1,599 for it. The prices also include the performance measurements done afterwards on the company’s dyno.
