mcchip Audi TT RS 2.5 TSI

Crisis or not, tuners never sleep... Nor does our appetite for aftermarket tuning packages because, let's face it, nothing is more appealing than adding a little extra to our car, be it in the form of performance or styling.

In case there are some who believe having a 340 horsepower troop Audi TT RS is not very exciting, mcchip has the perfect answer: a performance upgrade package, what else? The chip upgrade offered by mcchip (!) adds a few more horses to the stable under the TT's hood. 40 horses to be more precise, or the equivalent of adding a Tata Nano to the 2.5 TSI engine.

The upgrade made available by the tuner raises the maximum power output to a total of 380 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. mcchip calls this Level
1, which means there's more to come. The tuner says the Level 2 package, which will boost the total power to 400 horsepower, is under development.

Of course, mcchip doesn't stop here and brings along a few styling enhancements as well. Their tuning proposal for the TT RS include 20-inch Cargraphic wheels, shoed in 255/30 R20 Continental tires.

Amazingly enough, even if we got used to be forced to buy each and every extra horse for large amounts of money, mcchip's Level 1 package comes really cheap. The price for the performance upgrade package was set at only 899 euro, but the fun part only just begins.

After paying almost nothing for the engine tweak, the wheels and tires will kill you. In all, wheels included, the package is priced at 6,600 euros.
