MB USA Releases New S-Class W222 Commercial

While technically not the longest, nor the most insanely creative Mercedes-Benz commercial we have ever seen, the following video is very well suited for the car it's trying to advertise.

As understated as the car itself, the ad is not exactly trying to infuse the viewer with the same kind of eloquence as an official press release, but it's pretty much walking on a road that's been well walked on before: presenting the subject – in this case, the latest “Sonder Klasse” (German for Special Class) – as it is, without any distracting philosophical questions or special effects.

With that being said, the commercial does have a tone that's a bit on the high brow way of someone talking about him/herself, but then again, Mercedes-Benz S-Class advertising has never been about self-deprecating humor.

All in all, we like the ad, but we're also hoping for something a bit more on the viral side, such as the unfortunately not original “Chicken” commercial. What do you guys think of it?
