The Mercedes-Benz GLK crossover has finally got a little brother, which will be available some time next year in the United States as well. Probably in order not to divert the small-crossover/SUV attention away from it, the GLK just received a new marketing weapon in the form of a mildly-high-budget commercial.
With an overall tone that somehow feels like a Michael Bay movie without all the explosions and the robots, the new “Experience” commercial for the MY 2014 GLK marches on the “millions and decades” of experience that the three-pointed star manufacturer has accumulated.

In other words, bench testing a car may only “prove a theory” but only “constant exposure to the harshest elements proves a point”.

Considering the main customer demographic for the Mercedes-Benk GLK, especially in the United States, we don't know how effective this type of commercial will be, but there's no denying that the car has been and still is a commercial success.

Based on the same platform with the W204 C-Class, the X204 GLK starts from $37,480 MSRP in the USA, while ther engine range consists of the 250 BlueTec diesel model and the 350 gasoline V6. Interestingly, the 302 American horsepower V6 is the less expensive of the two.
