Even though Mercedes-Benz as a brand name only appeared in 1926, the Stuttgart company has a history that traces its origins all the way to 1885, when Karl Benz's Patent Motorwagen was being driven for the very first time.
Over the years, the three-pointed star has seen a lot of ups and downs, but it can brag about being the car manufacturer with the longest list of technological and safety innovations that are now taken for granted in most cars out there.

Mercedes-Benz is seen by many as a luxury car maker, without taking into account that the three-pointed star has over the years created its fair share of world-beating sports cars, luxury cars, safe cars and even trucks and/or vans.

To some, AMG models and their asphalt-melting rumble are all that matters, while for others the massaging seats of an S-Class are the best thing ever when they return from a hard day's work.

Also, if the make of the car you drive is the sole reason for you still being able to read this or watch the following video after a nasty accident on the freeway, that has got to count for something.

So, in the end, what is Mercedes-Benz and what actually matters about their cars? Is it the safety, the luxury, the performance, the innovation? All of it?

Sure, the answer to the all the questions above is one and only, but it differs from person to person. In short, this is what the rather touching and somewhat uplifting commercial below is trying to depict, and it makes us glad that Mercedes-Benz have finally stepped up to their game when it comes to how they market themselves – especially since a number of ads from recent years have left a lot to be desired. Enjoy!
