MB Canada Dream Cars Commercials Go Straight to the Heart

Used by poets ever since the old Greek world, the “love at first sight” is one of the many Western literary motifs that has been found in almost all classic and contemporary literary works that feature a love story.
Although usually happening between two humans (male or female, we don't judge), the sentiment of love can sometimes extend to lifeless objects as well. We know more than one person who is literally in love with his car, although not exactly in the“I want to marry you” sense.

Those are the kinds of people that the marketing division of Mercedes-Benz Canada will try to appeal to with a newly-released series of commercials for the German car manufacturer.

Called “Dream Cars”, the series tries to shortcut the brand's road straight to your “want” feelings instead of your “need” ones. We have a feeling that the new Y Generation might not exactly get the entire point of the commercials, but at least they might appreciate the cars that appear in them.

Our favorite is the black W113 SL Pagoda, but other people might be more touched by the modern R231 SL Roadster or the white SLS AMG. Since none of the cars is filmed in action, but sitting still in a multi-story parking garage, it's much easier to connect with the soothing voice and the overall message of the ads. You can watch all three ads bellow.
